From Gerber Dairy Rd. As you enter the drive and make your way down about .1 to .2 of a mile. You view palm trees at the end of the 4 acre Mercot grove. Looking down the drive you see Lake Mcleod. You have vaulted ceilings in most of the house. We have ceiling fans in every room except the bathrooms. Every room is wired for television, telephones, including the lanai. Phone in Master bathroom, a good security system. We upgraded the kitchen sinks, all the faucets and carpet. The faucets in the master bath are Gold plated tip. Water heater is electric sixty one gallon.
Back out the front door you see a beautiful front yard with several trees, water fountain and a view of the grove. You have a side walk that leads out to the guest parking. Then back to the front porch another walk goes around the garage to the entrance of the garage, you have a large paved parking area, also a walk to the work shop just a few feet away from the garage. The drive we use turn in front of the yard goes across barn down to parking area.
The house is block with stucco and bands. Two to four course foundation filled in and packed before the concrete was poured. The walls and top was built to Hurricane code. When hurricane Charlie came through it did not hurt our house or barn. Blew a tree down in our backyard, the top of our neighbor barn. The roof on the house is thirty year dimensional. We didn't lose a shingle.
The yard and grove is irrigated from the same well we use for our water. The irrigation system is equipped with micro jets. We have a four thousand dollar filter system to our house. The water is very good and soft. The electronic wiring is all under ground for well-house, work shop and barn, the septic tank is under ground with four hundred and forty four feet of drain field.
